Nineteen fifty-five marked the first year of fourth generation production. It was offered in five different body styles, all of which received a V-8 powerplant. There was excitement in every new detail of this distinguished automobile – low and superbly streamlined is hard to ignore.

This 1955 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe Convertible has been restored and is presented in black with maroon side stripes, while the interior of the car is complementary, also in black. The car is reported to be in excellent condition, as would be expected. Exterior features on the car include beautiful brightwork throughout the vehicle, and wide whitewall tires mounted on new wire wheels. The vehicle is powered by Chrysler’s Fire Power V-8 engine which is paired to an automatic transmission. The engine is reported as a correct Hemi for this platform. Power options on the car include windows, steering and brakes. This is one of only 946 manufactured during the 1955 model year. The fourth generation style of this well respected vehicle was produced through 1956.
