This 1972 Ford LTD convertible represents the final year for the LTD in convertible form. The 1972 model year saw Ford produce nearly 365,000 base LTD’s in five body styles; the convertible was overwhelmingly the least represented with only 4,234 examples coming off the line. If the LTD Broughams (with no convertibles) are included, the build rate registers over 475,000. The LTD was the top trim level for the full-size Fords at the time and included all of the trim from the Galaxie plus front disc brakes, electric clock, various chromed trims and interior woodgrain accents.

From long-term ownership, this seemingly completely rust-free blue plate California car wears an older respray of its original red paint that presents very nicely. This orderly car has a white interior and a white vinyl soft-top. Featuring an automatic transmission and a 400-cid Cleveland V-8, this honest-looking convertible is for those who recognize the car is an uncommon big Ford convertible that fits the part of the perfect driver or beach cruiser for the whole family.
