Crofton Marine Engine Co. produced the Crofton Bug, an updated version of the Crosley Farm-O-Road, from 1959 to 1962. The Crofton Bug was a small, low cost vehicle, but despite these limitations, it remained surprisingly capable. With a half-ton load capacity, Bugs were built to be serious workhorses that could still fit in the bed of a standard pickup truck. The Brawny version of the Crofton Bug consisted of a six-speed transmission, a locking differential, a full crash pan, and 10 inch cleated tires.

This 1961 Brawny Bug has been fully restored and is a veteran show winner at numerous events in Florida. It is fitted with an optional Crofton tow bar and is always a crowd favorite wherever it goes. Attractively finished in red with black seats and a black convertible top, this Brawny Bug is as cute as it is useful. This is one of the few classics that would be as at home on the show field as it would be off road.
