Debuting on Father’s Day 2009, the Ford Mustang Iacocca Edition defined the modern coachbuilt muscle car. Conceived to celebrate 45 years of America's favorite pony car, this rare edition paid tribute to the "Father of the Mustang" himself, Lee Iacocca. A mere 45 examples were ever built, offered solely through the legendary Galpin Ford in Los Angeles. Of the 45 examples produced, 41 were completed in the signature Iacocca Silver, three in Black, and one in Red.

Envisioned by designer Michael Leone and painstakingly shaped by hand at the world-renowned Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters, the Iacocca Edition breaks away from the standard S197 generation with an aggressive, raked stance and a sweeping fastback roofline that blends flawlessly into the rear decklid. A custom front fascia houses recessed headlights beneath an imposing "power bulge" hood, while the back of the car features a revised valance with quad-tip exhaust. Color-matched side mirrors, 20-inch chrome wheels, custom hood emblems, and "I" trunk badging finish off the striking design.

A potent 4.6-liter V-8 engine pairs with a five-speed manual transmission, delivering an authentic driver's experience. This power is paired with serious cornering capability, courtesy of a Ford Racing handling package and upgraded suspension system.

The interior features diamond-stitched leather seats and a serialized Iacocca signature plaque prominently mounted on the center of the dashboard. The driver is greeted by an Iacocca-badged, leather-wrapped steering wheel, complemented by striking aluminum door sill plates, while the premium Shaker 500 audio system remains intact.

Representing the final serial number of the legendary Iacocca Edition Mustangs, this ultra-rare example is one of just three finished in Black. Preserved by Galpin from new and offered now from The Boeckmann Collection, it remains a low-mileage time capsule having covered just 248.5 miles from new at time of cataloguing.
