One of the most sporting Cadillacs available in 1926 was the Fisher Style #1155 aluminum-bodied four-passenger phaeton. According to the original Cadillac Motors Division build sheet provided by Cadillac Historical Services, this car was delivered to Plainfield, New Jersey in April of 1926. The restoration was begun some time ago by an inherently meticulous engineer who disassembled the car and also took extremely precise measurements of the fit and finish of each panel and made patterns. When he passed away the Cadillac’s next owner picked up where the previous owner had left off to finish the job. Many of the smaller components had already been refinished, but the gentleman completed the restoration by refurbishing many parts a second time and was responsible for all of the body and paint work himself. Numerous historical references were utilized to make sure that the job was done to factory specifications. As completed, the relevant assembly numbers on the finished vehicle correspond to the original Cadillac build sheet.

Finally finished in early 2009 in a lovely Pale Green with Olive Green lower body and trim, this gorgeous 1926 Cadillac Phaeton is nicely complemented with green carpet, tan leather upholstery and a tan cloth top with matching side curtains and boot. When shown at the Spring 2009 Grand Classic in Florham Park, New Jersey, it was awarded Senior Badge #2721S and also appeared in the Summer 2009 edition of The Classic Car. Since its debut, this Cadillac has only been driven in a few local parades and has remained very well maintained.
