Chassis no. 18295

Five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel independent coil spring suspension and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. Wheelbase: 106.3-inches

Mechanically similar to the Ferrari GTC/4, the coupe GT/4 2+2 had a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. By stretching the wheelbase, Pininfarina was able to build a generously sized 2+2. The conversion to convertible has been attractively executed and certainly the Ferrari is an interesting variation.

This example has been a driver’s car. The steering wheel and driver’s seat are considerably worn, and the tan canvas convertible top is stained. In a supreme act of sacrifice the car has given up its engine to resuscitate another Ferrari. Equipped with power windows and a cassette stereo, it has much left to give, whether in pieces or as the subject of a loving restoration.
