After a hiatus of more than two decades, Ferrari resurrected the storied lineage of its front-engine grand touring coupes with the debut of the 550 Maranello in 1996. The model drew widespread acclaim and became an instant classic. Six years later, Ferrari unveiled the 575M Maranello, a refined evolution that boasted significant enhancements, including a more potent 5.7-liter V-12 engine that pushed the new model’s top speed to a remarkable 202 mph.
The 575M also featured redesigned front styling, larger brakes, and the option of a paddle-shift F1-style gearbox. While most buyers opted for the semi-automatic transmission, the few 575M Maranellos equipped with the traditional gated six-speed manual gearbox have become highly coveted for their pure, engaging driving experience. So great is the demand for the manual transmission that some specialized shops have begun offering conversions of F1-equipped cars to gated manuals, as is the case with the 575M Maranello offered here.
Prior to the seller’s acquisition, this Argento Nürburgring over black leather 2002 575M reportedly lived a gentle life, accumulating less than 16,300 miles across a short chain of ownership. Upon purchasing it, the consignor commissioned Exoticars USA of Milford, New Jersey to perform a full conversion to gated six-speed manual specification. The conversion, along with a host of other work, was completed in January 2024 at a cost of over $40,000 and the car has been sparingly driven since. Invoices detailing the full extent of the work are available for review.
With its timeless livery and coveted manual transmission, this superb 575M Maranello is the ideal choice for those looking to channel the nostalgia of Ferrari’s Enzo-era models without sacrificing more contemporary sophistication.
