Suggested to be a true driver’s sedan; the Catera is based on a German Opel/Vauxhall Omega MV6 using the engine, transmission and numerous other components from it with only minor suspension changes. It runs with a 3.0-liter, 200-hp 24-valve V-6 that is matched to a console-shift four-speed automatic transmission and offers many high end features with what many have described as Euro-style handling and ride characteristics. This is considered the sport touring sedan that preceded the respected CTS, and many happy and enthusiastic owners have suggested choosing this economical, in comparison, Catera over similar sports sedans from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and even the CTS itself.

This nicely presented white with tan interior example is reported to have been sparingly driven and is equipped with such features as air conditioning, bucket seats, fine interior materials, leather seats, airbags, sunroof, cruise control, select steering wheel controls, subtle interior woodgrain trim, AM/FM/cassette; power seats, windows, door locks, steering and four-wheel disc brakes.
