The Impala became its own model in 1959. As with all 1959 Chevrolets, the new Impalas were longer, lower, wider, and more curvaceous. They also had the largest tailfins from GM other than, perhaps, Cadillac. This famous Harley J. Earl design largely carried over into the 1960 models. All dolled up and ready for prom, this Impala is laden with factory jewelry. The ebony and white exterior is adorned with fender skirts, spinner wheel covers, wide whitewalls and dual antennas. Crisp and clean, the V-8 engine compartment is picture perfect with power steering, power brakes and excellent detail. A Kenwood CD system is the only outstanding modern addition to the otherwise very original and presentable red and white houndstooth interior. Complete with jack and spare in the trunk, there is little else needed to enjoy this Impala.
