This Ford F-250 chassis is powered by a six-cylinder engine coupled to a three-speed transmission. In 1969, Good Humor commissioned Hackney Brothers of North Carolina to build 80 ice cream trucks to similar specifications. This Good Humor ice cream truck, with porcelain side panels, is representative of the last year for this type of unit as in 1970 the company initiated use of step vans. Dan Ciccone of the Tidewater Regional Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America, in an article published in 2011, estimated that only about 50 Good Humor trucks of any vintage remain extant.
