The four-passenger Cord phaeton was one of the first production convertibles with a fully disappearing top and rear quarter windows, an innovative design permitting excellent all-round vision. Owned in 1970 by William MacLeod of Chicago, this Ivory 810 phaeton was later purchased by G.N. Goydstun of Hurst, Texas. The current owners acquired the phaeton from Mr. Goydstun in 1978, and upon arriving at its new home the car was put away into storage from which it has only recently emerged. Fitted with fiberglass fenders and a correct replacement engine, number FB 1630, it is expected to be running prior to the sale but would likely require further work before being enjoyed on the open road. It would, however, be eligible for all ACD Club activities and events with a happy new caretaker.
