The 1948 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible was one of the first cars to come out with “modern” styling. It looked very sleek compared to most of its contemporaries. It was introduced late in the model year and was very well received by the car-hungry public. In ads proclaiming its arrival, Oldsmobile stated that their new styling means “the dramatic design of the future.”

The engine has a custom side-draft air cleaner, electronic ignition and a hand-fabricated radiator cover.
