Model 1BA. 239-cid, 100-hp, L-head V-8 engine, three-speed manual transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 114-inches

As the George Walker-designed 1949-50 Fords headed into their final season, a number of updates were made. For 1951, the “center spinner” grille of the earlier cars was retired in favor of two, smaller spinners spaced wide apart. Inside, a new dashboard was introduced, with an ignition key starter switch located at the left. This configuration would last through 1963.

The only convertible offered was in the upscale Custom series, which offered more lavish exterior trim and a better interior than the entry-level Deluxe. Both the Custom and Deluxe had the same mechanical specifications, except that the convertible, Victoria hardtop coupe and Crestliner prestige sedan were only available as V-8s.

This handsome red example was delivered new to Mrs. Arnold R. Robinson by Lynch-Davidson Motors in Jacksonville, Florida. It has been previously completely restored with a red leather interior, black convertible top with red piping and a black boot. Equipped with radio, heater, fender skirts and front fender splash guards, it presents well from all angles. Perfect for parades or touring, it is sure to please.
