Built locally in South Bend, Indiana, the Studebaker M-series saw extensive action during the Second World War. Afterward, it became a civilian workhorse while keeping much of its style and hardware the same. This car has a 170 cubic inch Champ 6 engine. . This example benefits from a frame-off restoration and shows less than a thousand miles since its completion. It is finished in a nicely contrasted two-tone dark brown and beige paint scheme, and is set off with many aerodynamic appointments including "wind wing" vents on the driver and passenger windows, a feature not found on any other make of American truck during World War II. It is a rare find, considering this truck was a low production vehicle post-war and the level of work put into its resurrection.
