This is a very rare and desirable car and was one of the last four door convertible sedans built by Mercury in 1940 prior to discontinuing this body style. It is an extremely original and well preserved car retaining a very solid body, its proper Flathead V-8 engine and column shift three speed transmission. This sought after early Mercury convertible sedan could be enjoyed as-is or could be the basis for a high point and worthwhile restoration project. A significant prewar Mercury that would be a welcomed addition to any early Ford collection.
