Ferrari introduced the Tailor Made program in 2011 in an effort to allow their demanding clients an opportunity to take the customization of their new Ferrari truly above and beyond what was offered previously. By using new paints, interior materials, and finishes, the Tailor Made department helps Ferrari’s clientele to create a car truly personalized to their tastes, down to the smallest detail. Calling upon materials inspired by the Scuderia’s success in racing, Ferrari’s glamorous GT cars of the 1950s and 1960s, or forward-thinking fabrics and materials, Tailor Made will assist customers looking to go that extra mile to design a car that encapsulates their own personality and distinct tastes.

What makes this Speciale Aperta stand out amongst its peers is its truly unique specification. Designed with the utmost attention to detail by one of Ferrari’s VIP clients with the Tailor Made department, its most striking detail are the twin silver stripes running down the side of the nose and fading away mid-way onto both doors. The car also boasts Blu Indigo Lucido paintwork and the traditional Speciale Aperta central stripe in Sparkling Silver with a Giallo pinstripe. Inside, the interior is awash in beautiful Blu Scuro alcantara trim, contrasted with yellow stitching and seat centres. The interior also boasts a rich blue carbon fibre trim, bringing a splash of the car’s exterior colour to the interior.

Needless to say, the car retains an extensive list of optional extras in addition to its unique livery. These include yellow brake calipers, carbon fibre front and rear flaps, front suspension lifter, the heat insulating windscreen, Scuderia shields, and rear parking camera. Interior options include alacantara trim on the headliner, central tunnel, lower dashboard, and wheel arches, carbon fibre floor plates, carbon fibre inner sill trim, cruise control, seat belts in Giallo, a matching yellow rev counter, and the radio with navigation system and Bluetooth. As if the car wasn’t eye-catching enough, the original owner fitted the car with an aftermarket Novitec exhaust, which allegedly cost nearly $65,000 to source and fit, and the original exhaust will accompany the car. The car was also equipped with glossy chrome wheels as a special option, but these were painted to their present gun metal grey appearance by a previous owner.

Completed by Ferrari in December of 2015, the car was subsequently shipped to the U.S., where it remained with its first owner, a well-known collector of modern supercars, for roughly two years. It was subsequently purchased by the second and current owner and was exported to the United Arab Emirates, where it remains today. Driven sparingly over the ensuing years, the car has been regularly serviced by a Ferrari dealer there, with its most recent service in January 2021 at 7,268 km. Importantly, the car is offered with the remainder of its factory warranty, which will be valid until February 2023. It is accompanied by its original set of U.S. owners manuals, two keys, and some invoices from servicing undertaken in the U.A.E.

Today, this 458 Speciale Aperta has been driven just under 7,700 km from new and is ready to be driven and enjoyed as a truly speciale example of its kind.
