Improving on the highly successful 997-generation 911 GT2, Porsche introduced the 911 GT2 RS in 2010, which at the time was the most powerful 911 ever produced. Utilising a back-to-basics approach to its performance, Porsche sought to add power and reduce weight from the already exceptional GT2 platform. An impressive 68 kilograms were shed by fitment of a single-mass flywheel, carbon fibre bonnet, single-lug wheels, while various steel components were replaced with aluminium and four kilograms were saved by installing thinner carpeting. Through increasing the boost by 2.9 psi, Porsche’s engineers coaxed an additional 90 horsepower out of the 3.6-litre engine, bringing total output to 620 horsepower.

A Swiss-delivery example, this GT2 RS is finished in Carrera White over a two-tone interior trimmed in black and red leather. Of the 500 GT2 RS models built, this was the 72nd, as marked by its serial number. This Porsche was specified with extras including B-pillar seatbelt outlets in carbon fibre, carbon fibre air vents, carbon fibre centre console, carbon-fibre front wings, clear taillights, lithium-ion battery, PCM stereo system, mobile phone preparation, Sport Chrono package, and sport seats embossed with the Porsche crest.

Purchased new by the consignor and delivered through Porsche Centre Lausanne in October of 2010, its Porsche Warranty & Service book shows services by Porsche Centre Lausanne in 2012 and 2015, with its most recent service carried out by Porsche Zentrum Zug on 19 June 2018 at 5,483 kilometres. Alongside the Porsche Warranty & Service book is a leather Porsche folio containing a Technical Manual, a PCM Manual, Porsche Assistance book, and a copy of the original purchase invoice.
