Previous German Fahrzeugbrief
  • A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire the fabled white Enzo; the only example of its type to leave Maranello finished in the stunning shade of Bianco Avus
  • An almost mythical machine bordering on the realms of legend; rarely seen since its original sale to a very private German-Swiss billionaire, 133023 has largely been hidden from public view for more than a decade
  • Arguably the most special example of the ground-breaking halo model built in honor of company founder Enzo Ferrari; the fastest Prancing Horse ever built at time of launch and the last naturally aspirated V-12 supercar built by Ferrari
  • Fully certified via Maranello’s Ferrari Classiche program; complete with “Red Book” detailing full matching-numbers status
  • Scarcely driven; odometer reading approximately 9,600 km at the time of cataloguing
  • Recent annual service in March 2022 by official Ferrari dealer Blackbird Concessionaires
  • Strikingly beautiful, unspeakably rare, and ready to serve as the jewel in the crown of any leading collection of modern Ferrari masterpieces; quite simply the best of the best
Addendum: Please note this lot is under temporary import into Canada, originating from Hong Kong. Buyers are advised of potential import duties that may be applicable should you become the successful bidder.

From his earliest days leading the Grand Prix titans of the Alfa Romeo stable to the final, game-changing supercar launched shortly before his death, Enzo Ferrari was resolutely committed throughout his life to creating world-beating machines. Whether sitting at the pinnacle of motorsport or within the pages of magazine centerfolds, cars that wore the Prancing Horse represented the very cutting edge of technology and style. Fitting, then, that the car built in his honor—the Ferrari Enzo—would exemplify everything that had seen the Maranello marque grow from a boutique producer of sports racers to one of the most coveted and desirable badges in automotive history.

Like the great halo models that came before, the Enzo was created to push the envelope of road car performance, utilizing technology derived from the top-flight of motorsport and otherworldly styling from long-term partner Pininfarina. Constructed from lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum, the Enzo’s advanced chassis was clothed in composite bodywork styled by the carrozzeria’s Ken Okuyama and shaped by wind-tunnel testing. Influenced by the firm’s leading grand prix cars, the rakish nose struck a tone carried over to the rest of the coachwork, with subtle ground-effect aerodynamics and a small active spoiler in place of the F50’s outrageous rear wing.

At the Enzo’s heart lay an all-new, mid-mounted, 5,998 cc V-12 engine capable of producing a staggering 651 horsepower— greater than the output of any of its rivals. But it wasn’t just the headline power figure that impressed, but how it was delivered, with an addictive combination of low-down torque, the aggressive snap of acceleration with each shift of the paddles, and the dizzying howl as the needle approaches the 8200 rpm redline. Like its top-of-the-range predecessors, the Enzo set a new benchmark for performance and design, and, due to a production run that numbered just 400 examples, has since become one of the preeminent collector cars of the modern era.

Any Ferrari Enzo is a rare jewel befitting of any serious supercar collection, but chassis 133023 is an even more special machine. One of fewer than 20 “Extracampionario” cars finished in a non-standard color—a privilege reserved exclusively for Maranello’s most valued and discerning clients—this remarkable Enzo is the only example of that cohort—and indeed the full production run—to be specified in the shade of Bianco Avus.

This unique Ferrari Enzo was completed on 22 May 2003, finished in the striking combination of Bianco Avus over Nero leather interior, specified with Rosso Corsa instruments and extra-large carbon-fiber bucket seats complete with rare 3D black cloth inserts. The car first made its way via Ferrari Central Europe in Wiesbaden, Germany to Symbol Automobiles in Matran, Switzerland, where it was sold to its first owner, a very private German-Swiss billionaire. Used minimally during those early years, the car spent much of its time drawing crowds while dressing the window of the boutique supplying dealer in Matran, before being exported to Hong Kong in 2011.

Unregistered during its time in Hong Kong due to its left-hand-drive configuration, the Enzo served as a cornerstone of a significant Ferrari collection in recent years, and its odometer reading stands at just 9,600 km at the time of cataloging. As with many of the finest examples of the Prancing Horse, this phenomenal Enzo is recognized by Maranello with Ferrari Classiche certification awarded in November 2012. Further, the car has just received a full annual service at the Ferrari authorized dealer in Hong Kong.

Offered exclusively by RM Sotheby’s and only being made available to the most discerning of clients, this offering represents an unrepeatable opportunity to take ownership of a legend: the one and only white Enzo.
