Founded in 1976 by Xavier De La Chapelle, the company bearing his name was renowned for producing replica cars powered by BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Peugeot engines. It also manufactured petrol-powered “Junior” replicas, which were highly sought-after in period, with BMW ordering two batches of its Junior 328.

Sold new to a Swiss gentleman in November 1987, serial number 31 was said to have been placed into storage when new. Following its acquisition by the current owner in January 2023, this Junior 330 P2 has been the subject of a carburettor rebuild and was fitted with a new starter motor—the old parts accompany the car at auction. Powered by a 5 horsepower Honda engine, it is finished in traditional Ferrari red with racing roundels sporting the number “3”.

A well-preserved example, this De La Chapelle 330 P2 Junior is a wonderful scale interpretation of a Ferrari great. Sparingly used, this Junior would make the ultimate gift for a budding motorsport fan, and an ideal entrant for “Little Big Mans” at the Le Mans Classic.

Venduta da nuova a un cliente svizzero nel novembre 1987, la miniatura col numero di serie 31 pare sia stata messa in custodia senza mai essere usata. Dopo l’acquisto da parte dell’attuale proprietario nel gennaio 2023, questa Junior 330 P2 ha subito la ricostruzione del carburatore e il rimpiazzo del motorino di avviamento—i pezzi sostituiti accompagnano la vettura messa all’asta. Spinta da un motore Honda da 5 cavalli, è verniciata nel tradizionale Rosso Ferrari con i classici tondi che riportano il numero di gara “3”.

Un esemplare molto ben conservato, la De La Chapelle 330 P2 Junior è una bellissima interpretazione in scala di un grande modello Ferrari. Poco usata, questa miniatura rappresenta il regalo perfetto per un giovane appassionato di sport motoristici e una vettura ideale per partecipare alla gara “Little Big Mans” nell’ambito della Le Mans Classic.
