Known as the ‘Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles’, Brough Superiors were custom built for each individual customer. The motorcycle on offer here, frame number MI/1726, was built for an English customer on 21 December 1936. Like all SS100s after 1935, it is equipped with a 1,000-cc Matchless engine along with the factory-developed fork that gives the bike its signature SS100 handling.

Although not much is known about the history of this motorcycle after its sale in February 1937, it eventually made its way to Alabama, where a well-known Swiss collector purchased it. Eventually sold to its current owner in 2014, this SS100 presents in an excellent mechanical state. A flagship of the marque loved by great men such as Lawrence of Arabia, the Brough Superior SS100 is one of the most iconic machines of the past century.
