Chassis 10003 was the first production H6 to be delivered to an individual—King Alfonso XIII of Spain—a Hispano-Suiza customer in fine standing for many years. The car was photographed at the French factory prior to delivery. Alfonso XIII was then photographed in the back of the H6 and starred in a Hispano-Suiza advertisement featured in the 21 April 1921 issue of L’illustration magazine; additional images of His Majesty with the car are included in the history file.

According to an article on published in the Hispano-Suiza Society Newsletter in Auugst 2005, King Alfonso XIII owned this H6 from 1919 until 1931, and afterward it was owned for a number of years by Patricio Chadwick of Spain, before the current collection acquired it in the early 1990s. In this ownership it has been fully restored in rich green and black, complete with the royal crest of the House of Bourbon on the rear doors, and with a few minor alterations including a bonnet with an additional louvre and modifications to the windscreen. The chassis number plate on the firewall is a reproduction and it appears that the engine number has been restamped. After the restoration, the car won 2nd in Class and the Alec Ullmann Award for the most historically significant Hispano-Suiza at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2004, and the Targa d’Argento in its class at Villa d’Este in 2007. Accompanying is a copy of a Geo Ham painting of this actual car undertaking royal duties.

This is easily one of the most historically significant H6s, and a marvellous car in the first rank of coachbuilt French classics.

Ce châssis 10003 correspond à la première H6 de série livrée à un client — le roi Alphonse XIII — un client fidèle à Hispano-Suiza depuis de longues années. La voiture a été prise en photo devant l'usine française avant sa livraison, puis Alphonse XIII lui-même a été photographié à l'arrière de la H6. II apparaît dans une publicité Hispano-Suiza publiée dans le numéro du 21 avril 1921 du magazine L’illustration, et d'autres photos du roi d'Espagne en compagnie de la voiture font partie du dossier historique.

Selon un article publié dans le bulletin d'août 2005 de l'Hispano-Suiza Society, le roi Alphonse XIII a gardé cette voiture de 1919 à 1931, après quoi elle a appartenu pendant plusieurs années à Patricio Chadwick, en Espagne, avant d'être achetée au début des années 90 pour la présente collection. Elle fait ensuite l'objet d'une restauration complète de couleur vert et noir, avec les armes royales de la Maison de Bourbon sur les portes arrière et quelques évolutions mineures dont un capot doté d'une ouïe supplémentaire et des modifications apportées au pare-brise. La plaque de châssis fixée sur l'auvent est une reproduction et il apparaît que le numéro de moteur a été refrappé. A la suite de sa restauration, la voiture a remporté au Concours d'Élégance de Pebble Beach 2004 la deuxième place de sa catégorie et le prix Alec Ullmann pour l'Hispano-Suiza la plus significative historiquement, puis la "Targa d’Argento" de sa catégorie au concours de Villa d’Este en 2007. Elle est accompagnée d'une copie d'une œuvre de Géo Ham qui présente cette même voiture lors de sa carrière royale.

Il s'agit sans aucun doute d'une des H6 les plus significatives sur le plan historique, et une merveilleuse représentante des meilleures voitures françaises classiques habillée par un grand carrossier.
