The Ferrari 046/2 engine was fitted to the F310 B, and it helped the Scuderia secure five victories, three pole positions, and two fastest laps with Michael Schumacher during the 1997 Formula One season. Ferrari finished a strong second in the Constructors’ World Championship that year.

The engine offered here, number 361, was used by Eddie Irvine at the Hungarian Grand Prix, where he finished 10th overall. It is believed that the engine was then fitted to a test car for Michael Schumacher. After this test, the engine was overhauled by the Ferrari team and never used again.
