This beautiful Morgan 4/4 was completed and tested the week of 6 July 1964. The car was finished in Westminster Green with black leather upholstery. A U.S. specification example it was fitted with chrome wire wheels, disc brakes, heater, defroster, sliding side screens, tonneau cover, and a Lawrence radiator. It was dispatched on 22 July 1964 and imported to the United States by Fergus Fine Cars Inc. of New York, New York and subsequently offered by Ed Roth & Sons dealership in Glassboro, New Jersey. Received as an 18th birthday gift for its first owner who used the car to commute from Ocean City, New Jersey to Newport, Rhode Island during college. It was subsequently lightly used and remained tucked safely away in storage in New Jersey and Florida. The consignor purchased the Morgan from the original owner’s estate in January of 2013, a car for which he had helped arrange maintenance and careful preservation from the time of its initial purchase through 2012.

In 2017 a meticulous restoration was commissioned, performed by Rick Bishop at Extreme Performance in Palm City, Florida. During the restoration it should be noted no wood structural members required replacement and no sheet metal required replacement. The engine bay and undercarriage were refinished in compliance with the original colors and finishes wherever possible. New wire wheels and Firestone tires were installed and chrome trim items were refinished or replaced as necessary. The interior was redone in the correct black Connolly hides by Vantage Motor Works of North Miami, Florida. The restoration was completed in December of 2018 at a cost of over $63,000.

Today, the Morgan is in spectacular condition throughout. A two-owner example showing 18,225 miles on the odometer, it retains its original engine, convertible top, side curtains, and tonneau cover. Additionally, its original Fergus Imported Cars tag is also retained, which displays stock no. 23668. The car is accompanied by its Morgan Chassis Record, restoration invoices, and select restoration photographs.
