Production of a limited line of Chevrolet trucks for the civilian market started up again on January 1, 1944 and represented the continuation of the 1942 series. It is reported that Chevrolet engineering department bulletins refer to these trucks as 1942 models, but the trucks were offered and titled in the year that they were built and sold (1944 and 1945).

The rare 1945 Series 3100 being offered is one of “a very few that was built during this period” and has been frame-off restored in a very nice fashion. It is presented in Brewster Green with Black fenders and is powered by a 216-cid inline six-cylinder engine that is connected to a three-speed manual transmission. Other prominent features include an optional deluxe factory cabin heater, finished and highly varnished bed floor, finished oak bed side rails, distinctive and beautiful “waterfall” grille, optional foglights, optional outside driver’s side rearview mirror, crank-out windshield, chromed bumpers, chromed tailpipe tip, color-keyed steel wheels with new trim rings and hubcaps plus new Firestone whitewall tires.
