The distinguished 1959 Thunderbird was touted in period as the car that everyone would love to own. The car had touched the hearts of the American buyer by being young and sophisticated, exciting and distinguished, provocative and elegant, convertible or hardtop. It was luxuriously outfitted for four passengers and said to be unrivalled for handling, cornering and parking ease. It performed as brilliantly in town as on the open highways. It exhibited performance that matched its presence.

This metallic silver gray example has a rich black interior and it is driven by the 352-cid, 300-hp V-8 engine that is mated to an automatic transmission. It has bucket seats with center console, wire wheels, power disc brakes, Vintage brand air conditioning and AM radio. The car has been cosmetically restored and is a well-respected platform that Ford executed in a fashion that has made it popular for many decades.
