Simplicity, superb build quality and an enduring design are all symbols of the Mercedes 560SL. The 560SL was the zenith in the United States of what Mercedes-Benz on the inside referred to as the R107 chassis, a model run that lasted for 18 years, beginning in 1972 with the US introduction of the 350SL.
This example is finished in elegant colors with leather interior, alloy wheels and many convenience options that are standard for Mercedes-Benz open-air motoring. The car runs with a 5.6-liter, 227-hp V-8 engine and automatic transmission. The German car company built 8,251 similar examples in the 1989 model year.
