The Chris-Craft saga began in Algonac, Michigan on the St. Clair River in 1874, when a 13 year-old boy by the name of Christopher Columbus Smith built his first boat. It was a simple lake boat for duck hunting, but it got him and his brother Hank building a succession of wooden boats. From these modest beginnings the brothers established a company that would evolve into one of the world’s most renowned and universally recognized names in boat building. Some dictionaries even list the word Chris-Craft as a synonym for “pleasure boat”.

The 21-foot Capri was an extended bow 20-foot Riviera, with the distinctively raked Capri windshield and styling features. The Capri is remembered fondly as a favorite runabout of the 1950s wood boat era, where Chris-Craft reigned supreme.

The Chris-Craft name is synonymous with quality and this beauty also has a shapely bow that extends to the classic barrel-back lines at the stern; all emphasized by the attractiveness of the natural wood tones. This inboard/outboard has a red with black trim and natural wood interior with full Chris-Craft instrumentation. The chrome, brass and stainless fittings are all in very nice condition and appear almost jewel-like against the finished mahogany and glistening waters as you motor about your favorite shoreline.
