To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the marque in 2017, Ferrari’s Tailor-Made department took 70 of the most memorable Ferraris, one representing each year of production, and reimagined their design features into liveries for the five current production models on sale to create 350 unique cars. Only one car with each individual livery would be produced, making each car unique in its own way.

This particular example bears the ninth livery, ‘White Spider’, on the GTC4Lusso platform, which paid homage to the Ferrari 375 MM Spider, a car that dominated the 1953 World Sportscar Championship with notable wins in the Spa 24 Hours and Nürburgring 1000 km in the hands of legends such as Mike Hawthorn and Alberto Ascari. Like the 375 MM, one of the highlights of the car is undoubtedly the V-12 engine, and although it cannot boast the race-bred pedigree of its forebear, the 6.3-litre Tipo 140 V-12 engine is certainly not to be sniffed at. Its 683 bhp at 8,000 rpm eclipses both the Ferrari Enzo and 599 GTO in the bragging stakes, and the seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission permits a top speed of 335 km/h.

Unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and featuring styling by Pininfarina, the GTC4Lusso was described by Jeremy Clarkson as ‘the most beautiful piece of sculpture of all time’, and this unique version is made all the more special with its Bianco Italia paintwork adorned with two Blu Pozzi racing stripes. On the inside the sumptuous interior benefits from Blu Sterling leather with blue Mycroprestige details, blue carbon-fibre trims, and carpets in a cut-proof Superfabric. Standard items like the dual cockpit architecture either side of the 10.25-inch HD touchscreen remain; however, the “Tailor Made Collection” commemorative plaque on the armrest is anything but standard, reminding occupants that this is no ordinary GTC4Lusso.

Today the car presents in immaculate condition having covered just 800 km from new. This is a true collector’s piece and a modern classic in every respect.

Geburtstags der Marke Ferrari im Jahr 2017 nahm sich bei Ferrari die Abteilung für Sonderwünsche (Tailor-Made) Designelemente der wichtigsten Ferraris der letzten 70 Jahre vor und transferierte sie auf fünf moderne Modellreihen und kreierte so 350 sehr spezielle Ferraris. Von jedem modernen Modell wurde nur ein einziges Exemplar mit dieser speziellen Optik gebaut, jedes auf seine Weise einzigartig.

Dieses hier angebotene Modell trägt die neunte Optik, „Weißer Spider“ auf der Plattform des GTC4Lusso. Sie ist eine Hommage an den Ferrari 375 MM Spider, der mit seiner Dominanz der Sportwagenweltmeisterschaft 1953 und den Siegen bei den 24 Stunden von Spa und den 1000 km vom Nürburgring mit Legenden wie Mike Hawthorn und Alberto Ascari am Steuer Bedeutung errang. Wie beim 375 MM ist auch hier eines der Highlights unzweifelhaft der Tipo 140 6,3-Liter V12 Motor, dessen Leistungswerte, obgleich ohne die Rennhistorie seines legendären Vorgängers, sich sehen lassen können. Mit 693 PS bei 8.000/min stellt dieser Zwölfzylinder die Antriebe sowohl des Ferrari Enzo als auch des 599 GTO in den Schatten. Übertragen über eine Siebengang-Doppelkupplungsautomatik, ermöglichen sie sagenhafte 335 km/h.

Vorgestellt auf dem Genfer Salon 2016 mit Styling von Pininfarina, war der GTC4Lusso für Jeremy Clarkson „die schönste Skulptur aller Zeiten“ – doch diese Variante in ihrer Farbkombination von bianco italia mit Rennstreifen in blu pozzi macht ihn noch einmal deutlich spezieller. Innen finden sich Leder in blu sterling mit blauen Mycroprestige-Details und Karbonelementen sowie Teppiche aus Superfabric. Andere Details wie die „Doppelcockpit“-Architektur auf beiden Seiten des 10.25-Zoll-HD-Zentralbildschirms bleiben zwar auch hier bestehen, doch die „Tailor Made Collection“-Plakette lässt die Insassen zu keiner Zeit im Zweifel, dass es sich hier um etwas ganz Besonderes handelt.

Heute nach nur 800 km Gesamtlaufleistung präsentiert sich dieses Fahrzeug in makellosem Zustand. Ein echtes Sammlerstück und unter jedem Aspekt ein moderner Klassiker.
