This very rare Lincoln Continental Mark II was recently discovered in Northern California, where it has spent a number of years. These Lincolns were one of the world’s most expensive and luxurious cars in 1956, costing over $10,000, on par with a Rolls-Royce.

While little is known of its early history, it is known to have come to the West Coast from Florida approximately a dozen years ago. It appears to have been the recipient of a high-quality older restoration, with very attractive red paintwork contrasted against beautifully redone two-tone upholstery. The passenger compartment can best be described as opulent and luxurious, as one would expect. The engine bay has also been fully restored and detailed and offers a very pleasing visual presentation. The Lincoln’s odometer records just under 84,000 miles, believed to be original.

This stunning Mark II should provide much future enjoyment, but has been sitting largely unused for the last decade. As it has been sitting for an extended period, it will need some recommissioning before hitting the road again.
