Cadillac was a formidable automotive power in the 1950s, thanks in large part to its engineering prowess and Harley Earl’s trendsetting styling. By 1955, Cadillac had finally displaced Packard as America’s dominant luxury car manufacturer, and continued to set new production records. In fact, Cadillac purchased the former Hudson Motor Car factory on Detroit’s east end, which provided additional production capacity. 1958 was the last year for the fishtail lights that started in 1948.

This 1956 Cadillac was in storage for the last forty years and was previously part of a large collection of 1956 Cadillacs. The steering wheel, carpets, dash instruments, and seats show almost no wear but are completely original. The originality of this Series 62 Sedan speaks for itself. Even the antenna and T3 headlights work as they did new. It is in stunning condition for its age and is reported to run and drive just as it did when new.
