“Compare prices, models, colors power and performance as most sports car experts already have. See for yourself why there are more British Motor Corporation sports cars on the road than those of all other makers combined” said, Car & Driver magazine in June of 1962. The unique styling of these little cars made them very popular amongst the public. They continue to become more collectable as the years go on.

This 1962 Austin Healey 3000 Mk II BT7 is equipped with a side-shift transmission and triple SU carburetors. It also marks the final production year of the true “Big Healey” roadsters, prior to the BJ7 with its roll-up windows. With 132 horsepower, the inline six-cylinder engine has plenty of power for a car its size. A four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive keeps the control in your hands. Independent front suspension with wishbones and coil springs, rigid rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs makes for a smooth comfortable ride. Hydraulic front disc and rear drum brakes allow for safe deceleration.

The unique steel wheels with hubcaps are wrapped in brand new tires. The paint has been recently corrected in Old English White with Colorado Red. The interior has been refinished and the battery has been replaced. The owner states that this Austin-Healey has “excellent mechanicals.” This beautiful two-door convertible has been California owned since 1979.
