Ford’s new Model A was doing well at the start of its second season. More than a million had been sold, and there was a surfeit of body styles, a total of 18 to be exact. There were three models of the basic “two-window” Fordor, as Ford called the four-door style. All had blind rear quarters, and two had leather roofs, the third steel with a fabric top section. This car is a 60-A “Leatherback.”

This Model A is powered by a 200.5-cid L-head inline four-cylinder engine, which produces a whopping 40 horsepower. The quality built engine is meshed with a three-speed manual transmission. Ford clamed when the Model A was new it would do “55- to 60-mph with ease”. They also claimed that it would get 20- to 30-mpg.

With an excellent restoration, this car has tan/brown cloth mohair-type upholstery, rear trunk rack, Moto-meter, beltline molding in a complementary tone with pinstripes, four running board step plates and a single rear-mounted spare. Also, it is equipped with a windshield visor and has black fenders and black wire wheels. The chromed bumper, bumperettes and radiator shell shine as they should. This is a quality automobile and just as with any Model A, it is bound to please a new owner.
