With the introduction of the widely popular 450SL in 1971, a four-seat coupe based on the same chassis, known as the SLC, was released for the first time. The biggest difference between the SL and SLC is the significantly longer wheelbase needed in order to have sufficient room for rear seat passengers. This 450SLC was produced in 1980, the last year the 4.5-liter V-8 model was offered. The engine runs well, the sunroof is operational, the transmission is smooth, it retains the Becker Mexico AM/FM/cassette player, and the Mercedes-Benz is in overall presentable condition. It has covered 122,818 miles from new and would be the perfect candidate as a Mercedes for the entire family to enjoy.
