As stated in a Thunderbird advertisement of the period; “Miles seem too brief when you are sheathed in such individual luxury, cradled in contoured foam, welcomed by a steering wheel that moves over to let the driver enter, served by such unobtrusive power. Thunderbird alone blends elegance and action in such unstinting measure. It has no equivalent….”

The example being offered is a fully restored car that is originally a “black plate” California car that was rust-free when the revitalization began. It has only been repainted one time in its original and popular shade of Rangoon Red. The Thunderbird features the strong and reliable 390-cid, 300-hp V-8 engine, which is matched to a Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. Among the convenience and comfort features are bucket seats with a center console, Swing-Away steering wheel, plus power windows, driver’s seat, brakes and steering. Chrome Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels add another touch of classy sportiness for this “turnkey” T-Bird. It is stated to run and drive perfectly and all the new owner will need to do is get in, and enjoy the drive to your next destination.
