Chevrolet proved that the third time was the charm in 1957, with the second restyling of the trendsetting 1955 model bringing its styling to new heights. The entire car had been lowered using smaller wheels and body modifications, and the nose and tail were updated with Cadillac-inspired cues, resulting in a baby Eldorado of sorts that has never stopped being desirable since 1957.
Combining the best of modern performance and power with classic styling, this Chevrolet 150 received a complete rotisserie restoration. It is equipped with the mighty 327 cubic-inch, 365 horsepower Chevrolet Corvette engine with solid-lifter cam, as well as a BorgWarner Super10 four-speed transmission, sending all of that power to a four-link nine-inch Ford 3.55 posi-traction rear axle, and exhaling through Flowmaster exhaust. Power steering and power disc brakes make handling all that raw power a pleasure.
The car is finished in menacing Raven Black, with a custom Red Wave Ultraleather interior, trimmed with 1957 Bel Air “cloud material” with silver Mylar welting by Ciadella Interiors. Wonderfully sinister and exceptionally powerful, this quality custom will rip-roar its way down any quarter-mile, or simply prove an exceptional candidate for the drive-in.
