Ford’s new Model A was doing well at the start of its second season. More than a million had been sold, and there was a surfeit of body styles, 18 in all. There were three models of the basic “two window” Fordor, as Ford called the four-door style. All had blind rear quarters, and two had leather roofs, the third steel with a fabric top section. This car is a 60-A “Leatherback,” with brown grained leatherette, with Arabian Sand moldings over an Andalusite Blue body. An orange pin stripe with matching wheels offer bright contrast.
An excellent restoration, this car has brown cloth upholstery, a glass bud vase, etched windwings and a single sidemount spare on the right, leaving room for a trunk rack and trunk at the rear. A very smart-looking Model A, it is bound to please a new owner.
