Only one car of the period could make a Cadillac owner look twice; the distinctive Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado. Longtime Cadillac owners had been quite accustomed to the spirited glamour of the Cadillac brand in traditional styling. What was different about the Eldorado was the admiration for a totally different body style and the fact that the Eldorado was driven by its 472-cid V-8 as part of a front-wheel drive platform. It was a bold concept and would be embraced for its fresh vitality as the “world’s finest personal car.”

This particular Eldorado, it is reported, has been restored to original specifications and looks great in white with a black vinyl (and optional) top with subtle black pinstripes, factory wheel covers and whitewall tires. Automatic climate control, power disc brakes, power windows, radio and power steering are also part of the equipment. It is noted that 24,528 similar cars were built in this model year.
