Diamond T has its origin back to 1905 when C.A. Tilt built his first car. He continued that line until 1911, when one of his car buyers wanted a truck. Built in Chicago and lasting until 1966; the Diamond T brand was well-known for their classic heavy trucks.

This 1939 chassis model 306 is a dually with a single driving axle that runs with, what is reported as, a Hercules inline six-cylinder engine with a four-speed manual transmission. The cab design is immediately recognized for the distinctive and beautiful grille design and details seen in the hood louvers to the cleanly presented curved door that hides the fuel filler and bullet-shaped headlight buckets. The rear deck of the tractor has diamond plate decking, plus there is a chromed bumper, vee'd two-segment windshield that has crank-out sections for ventilation, heavy-duty steel wheels and a Lathan brake vacuum lever on the left steering column side.

The trailer is included and complements the overall period look. The trailer also has a dually single axle with front metal bogey-wheels. The heights of the two components are similar and lets you know that this would be an eye-catching unit as it travels to deliver the beverages. The trailer has a full-length advertising hoarding on the roof and currently is promoting Lyme Lite beverages. To further illustrate the soundness of this uncommon Diamond T, it is a AACA Senior National First Prize Winner from 1989 and has been well-preserved from this period.
