Cadillac celebrated a 50th anniversary in 1953. The cars it offered to the marketplace for this important landmark event were symbolic of its importance as “The Standard of the World.” Big, luxuriously equipped, opulently trimmed and powerful, the 1953 Cadillacs deserved their position at the top of General Motors’ line. These were cars to which a generation aspired. With an exceptionally low 19,408 miles driven, it is known that this Cadillac has only traversed four miles in the past 10 years! In short, it is a marvelous preservation piece. It is very nicely equipped for its age with power steering and brakes, power windows and retains the original radio and clock. The paint and trim reflect an appropriate patina while the upholstery is in remarkable shape overall. It is unknown if there are any 1953 Cadillacs in a more original condition, but most likely not. With a movement to preservation over restoration in the hobby, this is a prime choice for the educated collector.
