Even though 1976 was a year of refinement rather than major body or engineering change at Cadillac, it signaled the end of several eras. The convertible was on the chopping block and smaller, lighter units were being ushered in. One of the last great American heavyweights, this Coupe DeVille is believed to correctly show 24,000 miles on the dash. It is laden with options including power seats, windows, and locks, AM/FM system with power antenna, rear defroster, fender skirts and air conditioning. The exterior chrome and stainless show no obvious imperfections, while the cloth-upholstered passenger area is free of fading, cracks or issues. Priced at over $9,000 when new, this Cadillac was among the finest when new and continues to impress nearly 40 years later.
