In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the Rolls-Royce automobile division encountered difficult times as Britain entered a serious economic recession. Silver Shadow remained the bread-and-butter model for the company with over twenty-five thousand units produced from 1965-1980. For 1977, the model was renamed the Silver Shadow II in recognition of several major changes, most notably, rack-and-pinion steering; modifications to the front suspension improved handling markedly. With only 44,000 miles driven, this Rolls benefits from a nice original leather interior and exceptional quality dash and gauges. The body is straight and true with doors that open and close effortlessly. Close inspection of this saloon will reveal a luxurious automobile that has been well cared for and maintained. Few cars in the world speak of wealth and opulence as a Rolls-Royce.
