This Ford tractor is nicely restored in red and gray and is reported to run great with its 119.7-cid, 30-hp inline four-cylinder engine. This unit is connected to a four-speed transmission.

Manufactured by Ford between 1947 and 1952 in Dearborn, Michigan; the Ford 8N was a redesigned and improved version of the 9N/2N tractor line. The four-speed transmission was a prominent and welcome change for the 8N. The vehicle is reported to be more productive, sturdy and flexible than its predecessors. The Position Control system installed in this model of tractor allows implements to stay at a height relative to that of the tractor. The Ford 8N tractors were equipped with an automatic depth control, which allows the depth of the tools to vary.

The tractor is equipped with a brake system with both pedals on the driver’s right side. The steering wheel was also improved for the 8N model. The Ford 8N was also equipped with new hydraulic touch controls that were introduced to avoid violation of active Ferguson patents of the time.
