The Batcycle made its appearance in the 1966 TV series Batman, and was based on a Yamaha Catalina 250. Robin's sidecar carried a detachable self-propelled vehicle, and both were ready for action.

This 1966 Yamaha Batcycle YH-350 is a show cycle that was formerly owned by Code One Enterprises TV and Movie Cars and also spent time with a private owner in the United Kingdom. The Batcycle was assembled using steel and fiberglass components. The fiberglass elements were produced using the original molds and blueprints from the 1966 Greenway Productions Television Show “Batman”, that are stated on a prior Bill of Sale as recognized property of Code One Movie Cars in 2003 when the cycle went to the UK.

Various parts were utilized from the Yamaha and BMW motorcycles and “Kett-car” go-karts produced by Toys R’ Us. The Batcycle is reported as an original fabrication, produced in its entirety by Code One Movie Cars for entertainment and display purposes only. Paperwork accompanies the Batcycle that reflects the Code One association.

This excellent re-creation is finished in the same colors and markings as the original and is equipped with the side car and a replica of Robin’s self-propelled vehicle. The bike is powered by a two-cylinder engine with a manual transmission. The Batcycle is recognized for the radically shaped front fairing which is complemented by the sidecar having a similar component that encases the sidecar spoked wheel and the faux exhaust at the back of the batwing profile. The front fender and bike’s rear fender also have Batcycle-specific profiles. A red light stanchion, Batman insignia adorned sidecar back, and wire wheels complete the crime-fighting machine in proper Bat-style.
