For 1966, the Plymouth Belvedere model received a major restyling. Also for 1966, the Plymouth Satellite was available as the top model for the Belvedere line. Standard engine options for the Belvedere line ranged from a 225-cid inline six-cylinder engine to a Commando 383-cid V-8 engine. However, for this year, a new “street version” 426 cubic inch Hemi with 425 horsepower was available as an option. The interiors featured a new shell-type bucket seat, matched with a newly designed center console. The all-vinyl trim was available in five different colors; giving the car a brand new touch of elegance.
This special 1966 Satellite is featured with the rare and desirable 426 cubic inch Hemi V-8 engine. Backing the powerful engine is a TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The outside of the car is painted with deep blue paint that is complemented by factory wheel covers and bluestripe tires. Options found on this car include a center console, bucket seats, pushbutton radio, console-mounted tachometer; power steering and brakes. The owner states that this is an original car "with one sympathetic professional repaint."
