The Plymouth Fury was the most well decorated and flashy car for this model year. “The new styling is a harmony of motion, momentarily stilled in sleek steel and bright aluminum.” Chrysler engineers did a spectacular job at creating a powerful luxury car that was roomy and comfortable; all riding on a unibody design. Chrysler was ever improving on the previous years designs. For this year they improved the brake design, pushbutton transmission and the torsion suspension. Everything combined made this Fury a real attention grabber.
This 1961 Plymouth Fury has been well-restored and is presented elegantly today. The sleek and stylish exterior is finished with red and white two-tone paint; along with brightwork that shows it has been attended to regularly. Under the hood is sitting a stout and nicely detailed V-8 engine with ‘Sonoramic’ tuned ram induction; which is fueled by two carburetors. The interior is nicely displayed with two-tone upholstery, an oval steering wheel, dash-mounted rearview mirror; and safety belts have been added.
