The Ford Model T was first introduced in 1908, and it did not take long for human ingenuity to turn the Model T into something a little more exciting. Although Ford did not market a true speedster in the Model T years, the Speedster style became very popular, giving owners a less expensive option to the very popular Stutz Bearcat and the Mercer Raceabout. These Model T speedsters were substantially faster than a stock car, the reason being they were lighter.

This sharp looking speedster is complete with monocle windshield, white steel wire wheels, and button-tufted bucket type seats. The engine is a 177-cid inline four-cylinder, which has been fitted with an electric ignition system. It is finished with a black frame and a red body. The exterior is decorated with a rear-mounted spare and brass elements in the form of headlights, radiator shell, driver’s side bulb-horn, coach-style cowllights and a large cowl-mounted spotlight. It also has a painted elliptically-shaped fuel tank and wood storage trunk mounted towards the back of the chassis.
