While in America, Ford was producing a car for the public; in Germany Adolf Hitler commissioned the VW Beetle to be mass produced for the German people. It wasn’t until after the World War II that the Beetle would be available to Americans, and since then has retained its original styling until recent years. The Volkswagen Beetle has gained an ardent following based on being a smart, sporty car that gives you the benefit of fresh air and sunshine, while having a touch of individualism.

This convertible has undergone a comprehensive restoration, which included rebuilding the 1,493-cc four-cylinder horizontally-opposed engine. The transmission is the standard floor-shift four-speed manual. The VW is finished in its original color of Ivory with matching fender skirts, complemented by black upholstery and a black convertible top. The original seats in this car have been replaced with seats from a 1968 model for safety precautions. The pushbutton radio in the car is said to be correct to the period and in working order.

Included with the Volkswagen is the original jack and boot cover. It is reported that this car looks and drives like new.
