300 bhp, 350 cu. in. Corvette OHV V-8 engine, three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with coil-spring trailing arm suspension, and four-wheel power hydraulic disc brakes. Wheelbase: 119.0 in.

The Impala on offer here has been up-rated to 1990s specification, with an LT-1 version of the 350 small block V-8, making 300 brake horsepower with tuned port fuel injection. The transmission is a Turbo Hydra-Matic. Power disc brakes are used all around. A Super Sport model, it was built with the chassis reinforcements and suspension enhancements, some of which have been further upgraded during the rebuild.

The bucket seat interior is upholstered in red leather and is in excellent condition, while the red dashboard is painted and is equipped with the Super Sport passenger grab bar. Stewart Warner gauges have been installed in the original instrument panel, beneath the original speedometer. The contours, paint, and brightwork are all excellent. The black vinyl top has a red boot cover that matches the interior.

The engine compartment is stunning, with chrome gleaming from every angle.

The undercarriage is very clean, and chrome “bowtie” wheels carry 245/50ZR16 radial tires.

Accessories include power steering, power brakes, power windows, a power seat power top, cruise control, tilt steering, and air conditioning. A Custom Auto Sound stereo system has been discreetly installed, including a Sony disc player, and the trunk serves as a carpeted sound chamber.

But for the chrome wheels, this Super Sport Impala looks entirely stock and is one of the ultimate examples we have had the pleasure of offering. With its extensive, fully restored brightwork, arrow straight body, and show quality paint, its new owner will enjoy the reaction it gets on the road, likely as he passes modern cars at speed.
