• Compact International Harvester tractor

• Excellent restoration

The Farmall Cub was introduced in 1947 as International Harvester’s entry in the compact tractor market. In contrast to its competitor, the John Deere Model L, which differed markedly from its larger stable-mates, the Cub was much like the larger Farmall tractors, using a smaller inline four-cylinder engine rated at 10 drawbar horsepower. Aimed similarly at the small farmer, it proved immensely popular and remained in production, all but unchanged, until 1975, later as the International Cub.

This McCormick Farmall Cub is nicely restored in the iconic red motif of all International Harvester farm equipment of the era. Features include gauges for oil pressure and amperes and a pair of headlights for operation in the dark. It is fitted with a new vertical muffler. The tires are new agricultural types, 9.50x24 rear and 4.00x12 in front. Because of the model’s long lifetime, Cub enthusiasm and parts are plentiful. No gentleman’s farm is complete without one!
