• Impressive restoration and overall appearance

• Extremely low original mileage

Following the end of World War II, Buick offered the widest selection of models in its history to date, and the sleek, luxurious Roadmaster continued to occupy the peak of the entire product range. Based on the new General Motors C-body for 1949, the new Roadmaster rode on a long 126-inch wheelbase and was offered in a range of five body styles, including sedan, fastback sedanette, coupe, station wagon, and convertible models. These very desirable cars received rave reviews from auto enthusiasts and increased showroom traffic at Buick dealerships.

This example is an extraordinarily impressive cosmetic restoration finished in Cumberland Grey with a Sunmist Grey top, a combination which truly accentuates the flowing lines of the post-war Buick. This Roadmaster shows just under 8,700 original miles and was part of a museum display for many years. It is equipped with wide whitewall tires, an AM radio, a heater, a tissue dispenser, an exterior sun visor, headlight visors, front and rear bumper guards, and turn signals. The grey cloth interior with blue stripes is very nicely installed and shows no wear, nor do the equally flawless headliner or the excellently refinished dash and instruments. The exterior chrome and stainless steel trim is all in excellent condition, with no blemishes of note, and the same can be said of the paint. The trunk is also correctly outfitted and has a full spare. The engine bay has been refinished using correct components and it is very clean and sanitary. The straight-eight Buicks are an absolute joy to drive and always garner attention from passersby. This Roadmaster will make a great turnpike cruiser and can be lots of fun to show off at local events.
